Langway to Coach East All-Stars

Richmond, VA – Richmond RiverDogs Head Coach Rod Langway will be the head coach for the Eastern Conference in the 2004 Comcast UHL All Star Classic Sunday in Ft. Wayne. The RiverDogs are currently in a first place tie in the Eastern Conference with the Flint Generals. Langway replaces former Columbus head coach Malcolm Cameron who is now coaching in the Central League.

Langway, a Hall of Fame defenseman, is in his first season as a head coach. The RiverDogs won their first eight games and are now on a five game unbeaten streak. The ‘Dogs are 20-13-3 with one game remaining prior to the All Star Game. Langway will be joined on the East squad by RiverDogs Kevin St. Jacques, Jay Murphy and J.J. Wrobel. Game Time for the All Star Game Sunday is 7:30. An audio broadcast of the game will be available at www.theuhl.com.

RiverDogs players will be serving dinner at the Capital Ale House January 25 and March 28. There will be seatings at 6 PM and 7 PM each night. Tickets for RiverDogs At Your Service are on sale at the Capital Ale House now. Tickets are $30 adults and $18 for children, and include a shared appetizer, soup or salad, an entrée, dessert, and a soft drink. All tips will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Virginia. The ‘Dogs return home Friday, January 23 and Saturday, January 24 vs. Elmira at 7:35.
