Jackals To Start All-Star Game

Elmira Jackals News Release
The United Hockey League announced Wednesday that two members of the Elmira Jackals All-Star contingent will be in the starting lineup for the Eastern Conference. Defenseman Trevor Burgess will get the start at the blue line, while goaltender Peter Aubry got the nod between the pipes.
Other East starters include Brent Gretzky (Port Huron), Hugo Belanger (Adirondack), Kevin St. Jacques (Richmond) and defenseman Martin Woods (Flint).
The League broke down the selection process: Fans that visited the official website of the UHL (www.theuhl.com) selected the official starting lineups. Fans had the opportunity to cast their vote online starting Monday, January 5, 2004 through Monday, January 12, 2004.
Other Jackals going to the League's fifth All-Star Classic include defenseman Cal Benazic and forwards Randy Murphy and Greg Koehler. Koehler's status for Sunday's game in Fort Wayne is questionable since he is currently on call up with San Antonio of the American Hockey League.
The Jackals host a rare January home game Friday the 18th at the First Arena against the Adirondack IceHawks. Game time is 7:00 pm.
