Langfeld to Return to Griffins Lineup

Grand Rapids, MI - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Saturday announced that the Ottawa Senators have reassigned right wing Josh Langfeld.

Langfeld, Ottawa's third choice, 66th overall, in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, made his NHL debut on March 30 in the Senators' 3-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 24-year old rookie took 12 shifts and garnered 8:15 of ice time before suffering a concussion on a body check during the second period.

The University of Michigan graduate is tied for first among active Griffins with 21 goals and ranks second with 37 points. He will be available for the Griffins on Sunday when they visit the Manitoba Moose in their regular season finale at 8:00 p.m.
