Kalamazoo Wings News Release

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the International Hockey League, announce that forward Tommy Lange has been named the league's Aquafina Rookie of the Month for March.

Lange joins Rick Cleaver (December) as only the second K-Wings player to earn the league's top rookie accolade since the rebirth of the IHL last year. Lange finished the month of March with 12 points (9 goals and 3 assists).

Lange ranks third among all rookies in scoring with 46 points and is tied with Cleaver for the rookie lead for goals scored with 25.

The native of St. Louis, Missouri excelled in March rattling off a personal-best eight-game point streak and a K-Wings' season-high six-game goal streak.

Lange has captured three weekly honors this season, including his last on March 23rd.

Unbeaten in six straight games (5-0-1-0), the K-Wings will look to continue the stretch with a pair of home games this week.

On Friday, April 3rd, the K-Wings will host the Port Huron Icehawks on Team Poster Night, presented by WRKR. The contest is also the second of three Pepsi Family Fridays, in which the K-Wings offer fans $1 Pepsi and $1 popcorn. Kalamazoo will also battle the Bloomington PrairieThunder this Saturday, April 4th. Both games will face-off at 7:30 p.m.

Single-game tickets for any of the K-Wings 38 regular season home games are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Ticket Office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information, call Wings Stadium Ticket Office during regular business hours at (269) 345-5101.
