Lancers Sign Forward Crone to USHL Tender

RALSTON, NE - A native of Dallas, Texas and a future Boston University Terrier, 5'8", 141 lb. forward Hank Crone signed a tender with the Omaha Lancers for the 2014-15 season, the team announced Wednesday. Crone, a left-handed sniper for the Dallas Stars Elite U16 program and born in 1998, posted 40 points in 31 games played in 2013-14 and will play in a minimum of 50 percent of the Lancers' games during the 2014-15 season.
"We are thrilled to welcome Hank into the Lancers family," said Lancers Head Coach and General Manager Brian Kaufman on Wednesday. "He's a dynamic player with great potential and we're excited to have him in a Lancers uniform next season." Rick Comley, the Lancers' Scouting Director and Assistant General Manager, agrees. "Hank has an elite skill level and hockey sense," explained Comley on Wednesday. "We fully expect him to develop into one of the premium forwards in the USHL over the course of the next few seasons."
"I'm super excited to join the Lancers," said Crone on Wednesday, "The staff has been great and it seems like it's going to be a good fit.who wouldn't want to play in a rink like this - Crone's tender will take the place of the Lancers' first round selection in the eight-round 2014 USHL Phase 1 Draft, scheduled for May 5, 2014.
Next up for the Lancers, it's game one of their best-of-five Western Conference Semi-Final series vs. the Sioux City Musketeers on Saturday, April 12th at 7:05 pm at Ralston Arena.
