
Lancers Sign Brannon McManus to Tender

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers have signed University of Minnesota commit and highly touted prospect, Brannon McManus of Shattuck St. Mary's U16 to a tender for the 2015-2016 season.
"We're excited to add Brannon to the Lancer family," said head coach and general manager Brian Kaufman. "He's a highly intelligent and gifted hockey player. He comes from a great hockey program at Shattuck St. Mary's. Brannon knows what it takes to win, as he's won two consecutive National Championships."
McManus, a Newport Beach, CA native has racked up 206 points in two seasons with the Shattuck St. Mary's program. In the 2013-2014 season, McManus scored 68 goals and added 52 assists in 65 games played while only taking eight penalty minutes. This past season in 55 games, McManus tallied 48 goals and 38 assists for 86 points.
"I feel extremely honored to have the opportunity to play for the Omaha Lancers" said McManus. "I look forward to playing for such a great organization."
This marks the first tender signing by the Omaha Lancers prior to the 30th Anniversary season.
"Fans at Ralston Arena can expect me to show a lot of heart, passion, skill, and appreciation for the game" McManus finished.
Shattuck St. Mary's won their first ever USA Hockey National Championship at the U16 level after defeating Honeybaked 7-0 in Buffalo, NY. McManus scored a short-handed goal in the championship game for his tournament leading eighth goal to put Shattuck St. Mary's up 4-0.
