RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers were defeated by a final score of 2-1 on Sunday evening to the Sioux City Musketeers.
Chase Bradley netted the lone goal of the first period on the power play. Bradley was assisted by Buium on the goal. Sioux City held the 1-0 lead to end the first period.
In the second frame, Cam Mitchell (12:05) snuck the puck past Akira Schmid to even the game 1-1. Liam Devlin and Nick Perna were called on the assists. Perna got the puck deep behind Schmid's net where Devlin then centered it to the slot for Mitchell.
In the third period, and on a Lancers power-play, the Musketeers scored to take a 2-1 lead. Carter Loney blocked a shot from the point in the Musketeer zone and crashed Dobes' cage where Justin Hryckowian snuck it in the net. The Lancers pulled Dobes as a last-ditch effort but could not capitalize as Sioux City took the win 2-1.
Sioux City will move on to face the Fargo Force in the USHL Western Conference Finals.
