Lake Monsters "Media Madness" Bobblehead Doll Contest

Burlington, VT --- The Vermont Lake Monsters and FairPoint Communications are teaming up with seven of the area's biggest radio stations to have the DJs and radio personalities compete in a fan voted contest, where the winner will be immortalized as a bobblehead and handed out to fans this summer at a Lake Monsters baseball game.

The Media Madness competition will run from March 15th through April 4th. The winning personality will also have $1,000 donated to the charity of their choice, courtesy of the Vermont Lake Monsters and FairPoint Communications.

"Radio listeners are very loyal to their programming, so this is a great way to connect the audience to their favorite radio show and personality," said General Manager, Nate Cloutier. "The fact that we can team up with FairPoint and the radio stations to donate $1,000 to a local charity, makes this a great way for us all to connect to the community as well. We are excited to see who the winners are and what bobblehead will be on people's desks this summer."

The personalities competing and their representative stations include:

- Star 92.9 - Nolan and Tara

- Planet 96.7 -Slater

- ESPN 101.3 - Rob and Rich

- 95 Triple X - Jamie and Chantal

- The Fox 101.5 - Blade

- WTVK 92.1 - Bruce and Hobbes

- Y106.3 - Nicole Lewis

"We will have three rounds of voting, the first will consist of all seven radio personalities, and the four highest vote getters will move on," explains Assistant General Manager, Joe Doud. "Two will emerge from another round of voting in the second round, where they will then be matched head-to-head. A third and final round of voting will determine the winner."

First-round voting will take place March 15-21, while the second round March 22-28. The top two vote getters will faceoff in the final round March 29-April 4 with the winner announced April 5th.

Fans may cast their votes by visiting www.vermontlakemonsters.com and clicking the ad button found on the top left of the homepage. The results will be updated three times per day, at 10AM, 1PM, and 4PM on the Lake Monsters' website, as well as on their Facebook page.

After a champion is crowned on April 5th, the winner's bobblehead will be handed out this summer at a selected Lake Monsters' home game (date TBD). For more information on this contest, contact the Lake Monsters front office at (802) 655-4200.
