Beverly, MA (January 22, 2013) Beverly Hospital, a member of Lahey Health, has been named the official medical team and healthcare partner of the Boston Lobsters, the New England franchise of Mylan World Team Tennis. As part of the partnership, Beverly Hospital will provide the team with top-notch sports medicine and rehabilitation services, while also meeting each player's primary care needs. The partnership supports Lahey Health's commitment to providing high quality care and the best patient experience to the communities it serves. "We are thrilled to have entered into an agreement with Beverly Hospital to be our official health system provider," said Bahar Uttam, chief executive officer of the Boston Lobsters. "Through this partnership, our team will have access to exceptional, leading-edge care that is specialized for both the sports-related and general health care needs of our athletes. It's a tremendous opportunity to enter the upcoming season knowing our players are receiving excellent care locally."
Beverly's rehabilitation and sports medicine services are widely recognized for utilizing the most current technologies and techniques such as manual therapy, plyometrics, core stabilization, self myofascial release, kinesiotaping and functional movement screenings; the clinical expertise of its staff, and for its commitment to providing exceptional, one-on-one care. Through Beverly Hospital, athletes and patients are offered a full continuum of specialty services ranging from the latest diagnostic tools including Kaieser triple trainer and low level laser therapy and orthopedic surgical techniques, to orthopedic rehabilitation and neurological therapy.

As the official medical team and healthcare partner of the Boston Lobsters, Beverly Hospital, a member of Lahey Health will provide onsite physical therapists at every home tennis match. The Lobsters are scheduled to play their 2013 season home games at the Joan Norton Tennis Center, part of the Manchester Athletic Club in Manchester, Mass. The Boston Lobsters season begins in July.
