LAFC Travels to Face Real Salt Lake on Saturday, May 13 at America First Field

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) returns to MLS action when they travel to face Real Salt Lake on Saturday, May 13. Kickoff is set for 6:30 PM PST at America First Field in Sandy, UT and will be broadcast free on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV/ 710 AM/ 980 AM La Mera Mera.

Saturday's contest features the first meeting of the 2023 regular season between LAFC and Salt Lake. The Black & Gold lead the regular season series with a 10-1-0 (W-L-T) record and hold an overall 11-2-0 (W-L-T) record across all competitions including the 2019 U.S. Open Cup and the 2018 MLS Playoffs.

News and Notes

Saturday's contest is the 14th ever regular season match between both sides, LAFC leads the all-time series 11-2-0 (W-L-T) record across all competitions.

RSL defeated LAFC in the first round of the 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs in Los Angeles and clamed a regular season victory over LAFC on Oct. 9, 2020.

The Black & Gold have won their last six meetings against Salt Lake.

Salt Lake enters this match up having lost just one of their last five matches and has won 2 and drawn 2.

Forward Denis Bouanga scored his 14th goal though 15 matches in all competitions when he found the back of the net May 6 in Sam Jose. Only two players have scored more goals through their first 15 matches across all competitions, Carlos Vela (15) in 2019 and Josef Martinez (17) in 2017.
