
LAFC Loses 2-1 to New York Red Bulls

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) fell 2-1 to New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena on Sunday evening. The Red Bulls headed into halftime with a 1-0 lead after a 29th minute goal by midfielder Daniel Royer. LAFC forward Diego Rossi would tie the game in the 53rd minute, with forward Carlos Vela logging the assist. Ten minutes from time, Royer would score his second of the game to give the Red Bulls all three points.
LAFC's newest addition, defender Danilo Silva, made his first appearance for the Club, replacing defender Walker Zimmerman in the 84th minute.
After 22 matches, LAFC currently sits in fourth place in the Western Conference with a 10-6-6 (36 points) record. The Club returns to action on Wednesday, August 8 for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup semifinals against the Houston Dynamo. Kickoff in Houston is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. PT at BBVA Compass Stadium.
