
LAFC Earns 2-0 Win over New York Red Bulls

Cristian Arango and Diego Palacios scored a pair of goals three minutes apart in the second half to help LAFC claim a 2-0 home win over the New York Red Bulls. The victory extends LAFC's unbeaten streak to four games in the league and keeps the club atop the MLS standings with a 10-3-3 record for 33 points.
The Black & Gold will be back in action on Wednesday, June 29 when they welcome FC Dallas to Banc of California Stadium. That game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast nationally on FS1 and Fox Deportes. It will also be available locally on the radio on ESPN 710 AM, ESPN LA App, and 980 AM La Mera La Mera or in-stadium using the Mixhalo app.

With the win, LAFC is now 6-1-2 at home this season for 20 of the club's MLS-best 33 points.
LAFC is the first team in MLS this season to record 10 wins.
Today's game was LAFC's first game against the Red Bulls since 2019. LAFC is now 2-0-0 all-time against New York at Banc of California Stadium.
In 16 games this season, LAFC has scored an MLS-best 32 goals.
Cristian Arango entered the game in the 64th minute and opened the scoring three minutes later with his fifth goal of the season.
Arango has now scored LAFC's opening goal in each of the last three games with the club going 2-0-1 in those contests.
He is now second on the club with five goals on the season, one behind Carlos Vela for the team lead.
Vela, who assisted on Arango's opener, now leads the club with four assists.
Diego Palacios scored LAFC's second goal just three minutes after Arango's opener. That is the least amount of time between LAFC goals this season and the first time that they scored twice in a three minute span since September 2020.
That goal was the first of Palacios' MLS career, coming in his 58th regular season game with LAFC.
Brian Rodriguez was credited with the only assist on Palacios' goal. He now has an assist in each of his last two appearances for LAFC, also tallying a goal and an assist in the 3-2 home win over San Jose on May 28.
LAFC is now 10-0-1 in MLS play this season when scoring multiple goals.
Maxime Crepeau made four saves for LAFC to earn his 10th win and fifth clean sheet of the season.
Ilie Sanchez made the 160th appearance of his MLS career in this afternoon's game while Latif Blessing made his 155th appearance, Sebastien Ibeagha made his 85th appearance and Danny Musovski came off the bench to make his 50th appearance, all of which have come with LAFC.
