- The New York Red Bulls (7-5-5, 26 pts.) fell to Los Angeles FC (10-3-3, 33 pts.) 2-0 on Sunday, June 26, at Banc of California Stadium.
- LAFC struck first in the 67th minute, as Carlos Vela played a ball from just over the midfield line to Cristian Arango, who was one-on-one with Carlos Coronel and found the back of the net.
- The home side doubled their lead in the 70th minute. Brian Rodríguez made a run down the far side of the field, drew two defenders as he entered the box, and fed the ball to Diego Palacios who sent in a shot.
- Coronel recorded three saves in the contest, moving him into sole possession of eighth all-time in club history (119), passing Ryan Meara.
- Serge Ngoma made his return from injury, coming on in second half stoppage time to make his first appearance since March 5 at Toronto FC.
- Dylan Nealis will miss New York's match on Thursday due to yellow card accumulation.
- Following Saturday's match, New York will return to Red Bull Arena to host Atlanta United FC on Thursday, June 3.
