In their 19th match of the 2018 MLS Regular Season, the LA Galaxy earned a 3-2 win over the New England Revolution on the road at Gillette Stadium.
With the result, the Galaxy are now 8-7-4 on the season with 28 points.
The Galaxy are now unbeaten in their previous six MLS contests, going 3-0-3 in those games.
The Galaxy have also earned a result in six of their last eight MLS road contests, going 3-2-3 during that span, combining for more results than they had in their previous 13 away games.
The result snapped a seven-game unbeaten streak for the New England Revolution.
This year on the road, the Galaxy are now 3-3-3 in MLS competition.
All time, the Galaxy are now 19-16-7 against the New England Revolution.
Head Coach Sigi Schmid made one change to the starting lineup from last weekend's game, as Romain Alessandrini entered the XI in place of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Midfielder Chris Pontius scored his fourth and fifth goals of the season for the Galaxy.
Pontius now has either a goal or assist in his previous seven games for the Galaxy, more than he had in his previous 32 games in MLS.
During his MLS career, Pontius now has 50 goals and 33 assists in 233 appearances.
Ashley Cole recorded his sixth assist of the season, the most of any Galaxy player this year.
LA Galaxy Head Coach Sigi Schmid has now gone 238-180-121 during his 19-year coaching career in Major League Soccer.
The match marked the beginning of a three-game road stretch for the club, with LA set to face the Philadelphia Union at Talen Energy Stadium next Saturday July 21.
