LA Galaxy Open 2024 Coachella Valley Invitational Against Charlotte FC on Wednesday Afternoon

INDIO, Calif. - Playing in the opening match of the 2024 Coachella Valley Invitational, the LA Galaxy fell 3-0 to Charlotte FC at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., on Wednesday afternoon.

Continuing their preparation for the 2024 MLS Home Opener against Inter Miami CF at Dignity Health Sports Park on Sunday, Feb. 25 (5:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass), the Galaxy next square off against Austin FC on Sunday, Feb. 11 (10:00 a.m. PT), take on New York City FC on Wednesday, Feb. 14 (12:00 p.m. PT) and will close out their time at Empire Polo Club against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday, Feb. 17 (10:00 a.m. PT).

Goal-Scoring Plays

CLT - Enzo Copetti (Iuri Tavares), 57th minute: Enzo Copetti was on the receiving end of a long pass and placed his shot from just outside the 18-yard box into the bottom far corner of the goal.

CLT - Trialist, 61st minute: Charlotte FC intercepted a pass with Novak Mićović making the initial save, but the rebound was finished from close range by Charlotte's trialist.

CLT - Hamady Diop, 81st minute: Hamady Diop's free-kick attempt from 20-yards away from goal was curled into the far left corner.
