Inter Miami CF closed out its 2024 preseason international tour, facing Vissel Kobe at the Japan National Stadium in Tokyo on Wednesday evening.
Lineup Notes
Inter Miami stepped onto the pitch with Drake Callender in goal; Jordi Alba, Noah Allen, Tomás Avilés and DeAndre Yedlin made up a backline of four; David Ruiz, Sergio Busquets, and Gregore started in midfield; Robert Taylor and Julian Gressel flanked striker Luis Suárez in attack.
Match Action
After an initial 90 minutes of action with both sides probing the opposition's defense aiming to create danger, the winner of the matchup would be determined with a penalty shootout as the game remained scoreless.
In the end it was the hosts that claimed the win from the spot, winning 4-3 in a close shootout.
Next Match
Next, Inter Miami will return home to South Florida to host Newell's Old Boys at DRV PNK Stadium on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. ET for the team's final 2024 preseason fixture.
