
LA Galaxy II Visit Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 Sunday

CARSON, Calif. (Saturday, June 13, 2015) - LA Galaxy II (6-5-1, 19 points) will end a three-game road swing Sunday, June 14 when they face Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 at Thunderbird Stadium UCB beginning at 2 p.m. PT. The match will be streamed live on www.lagalaxy.com.
The match will mark the second time the Galaxy have faced Whitecaps FC 2 this season, with the first coming in a 2-1 win on May 3 at StubHub Center's Track & Field Stadium that saw a late goal from Ariel Lassiter give the hosts all three points. This is the final time Los Dos face the 2015 USL expansion side.
Led by head coach Alan Koch, Whitecaps FC 2 have gone 3-6-4 in their inaugural season in USL, scoring 14 goals while allowing 22. They are led by Caleb Clark with five goals in 13 appearances on the season. Whitecaps FC 2 enter Sunday's match following a 2-0 loss on the road to OKC Energy FC on June 9.
Los Dos will look to rebound following a 1-0 defeat to Seattle Sounders FC 2 Thursday on the road, just the second loss in the past eight matches for Galaxy II. Ariel Lassiter continues to lead Galaxy II with four goals on the year, while Raul Mendiola continues to lead USL with seven assists in 12 matches while also recording three goals.
Sunday's game will mark the end of three-straight road matches for Los Dos, with Galaxy II returning home for a match Friday, June 19 at StubHub Center's Track & Field Stadium against Southern California rivals Orange County Blues FC beginning at 7:30 p.m. PT.
