Montreal, October 15, 2013 - Alouettes linebacker Kyries Hebert will continue his involvement in the community when the Ky Cares Foundation hosts its annual 'Touched' event this Friday, October 18 at the La Cage aux Sports restaurant located at the Bell Centre.

All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to the Cedars Cancer Institute and the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation. Tickets are $40, including supper and cocktails, which begin at 6:00 p.m.

Former Alouettes safety Matthieu Proulx will be the host of the evening with a number of current Alouettes players in attendance, including Scott Flory, Chip Cox, Nicolas Boulay, Anwar Stewart, Marc-Olivier Brouillette and John Bowman. A variety of unique pro sports memorabilia will also be available to bid on via a silent auction.

"When I founded the Ky Cares Foundation, it was to enrich the lives of young people, but last year we also added this important initiative to help those touched by cancer victims," explained the Alouettes linebacker, whose foundation also organizes events in his native Louisiana during the off-season. "I hope that I can count on all to come out and support this event that holds a special place in my heart, as well as all those whose lives have been affected by cancer"

October is breast cancer awareness month and as such, the Alouettes and the CFL will take part in a series of initiatives to support the cause. On October 20, Montreal will host its first-ever CFL Pink home game as both the Alouettes and the Tiger-Cats will adorn CFL Pink branded apparel and accessories to help tackle women's cancers. Each member club will host a special CFL Pink home game during the two-week period from October 18 to October 26 in which they will partner with a local women's cancer charity to raise funds and awareness.

Tickets for 'Touched' are available by calling 514-787-2521, or at the door on the night of the event at La Cage aux Sports at the Bell Centre.
