Fort Worth Cats News Release

The Fort Worth Cats' bats came alive on Thursday night as they routed the Edinburg Roadrunners 8-0 at LaGrave Field.

After Edinburg starter Curtis Camilli recorded two outs in the first inning, David Bergin was hit by a pitch, Chris Ellison singled, Greg Bachman drew a walk and Daniel Meeley singled to put the Cats (40-26) up 2-0.

The Cats didn't score again until the fifth inning when Ellison connected with a triple with the bases loaded and was then driven in with a sacrifice fly.

Ellison and Meeley both finished the night with three RBI.

The Cats' final runs came in the sixth and eighth inning as Cameron Monger connected with his second home run of the season and then drove in another with a single.

Starting pitcher Will Krout went seven innings and gave up only three hits, striking out two batters and walking none.

The Cats have a chance to win the series on Friday when they take on the Roadrunners (33-33) at 7:05 p.m. at LaGrave.

Tickets to all home games can be purchased by calling (817) 332-CATS or by going online to FWCats.com.
