Kraken Sign Carsen Twarynski and Cale Fleury to Two-Way Contracts

The Seattle Kraken locked in two of their expansion draft selections Friday evening, signing forward Carsen Twarynski and defenseman Cale Fleury to one-year, two-way contracts.

Twarynski, 23, is entering his fourth full pro season having logged 38 points (18g, 20a) in 107 AHL games and one point (1g, 0a) in 22 NHL games with Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia. A third-round pick by the Flyers in 2016, Twarynski has split his last two seasons between the Phantoms and Flyers.

Prior to turning pro, Twarynski registered 182 points (88g, 94a) in 257 WHL games with Kelowna and Calgary, leading the Rockets and ranking ninth in the league in goals in 2017-18.

Fleury, 22, is heading into his fourth pro season as well, posting 34 points (11g, 23a) in 96 AHL games with Laval and 1 point (1g, 0a) in 41 NHL games with Montreal. A Saskatoon native and the brother of former Checker Haydn Fleury, Cale racked up 127 points (32g, 95a) in 269 WHL games with Kootenay and Regina over his junior career and was selected in the third round of the 2017 draft.
