Komets Deal Rizk Rights to Alaska for Hughes

Fort Wayne, IN - The Komets announced Friday that the rights to forward J.M. Rizk were traded to the Alaska Aces for center Bobby Hughes.
Rizk skated his second pro year with Fort Wayne last season scoring 19 goals and 34 points in 66 games.
The Komets announced Monday that Hughes was acquired from Alaska for future considerations.
The Komets will officially open the 2013-14 season at home against the Toledo Walleye Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7:30pm. The Komets' 62nd season features 36 home games while 36 road games are scheduled. View the entire 72-game schedule here.
The Komets will also host one exhibition game when the Wheeling Nailers visit for a preseason tune-up Saturday, Oct. 12 at 7:30pm at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
Game date change - The Komet road game originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 5 at Kalamazoo, has been moved to Sunday, March 9, at Kalamazoo at 3pm. The change sets up a weekend double-header at division rival Kalamazoo as the Komets are also scheduled to skate at Wings Stadium Saturday, March 8 at 7:30pm.
