Knoxville Ice Bears Announce Schedule Change

Knoxville, TN - (February 27, 2013) The Knoxville Ice Bears have made a change to their road schedule with the Augusta RiverHawks. The game originally schedule to be played at James Brown Arena on Saturday, March 2 has been moved to Tuesday, March 5.

The rescheduling of the game was a direct result of ice related issues at James Brown Arena - home arena of the Augusta RiverHawks.

The SPHL released an official statement -

CHARLOTTE, NC (February 27, 2013) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced that both Augusta RiverHawks games this week have been rescheduled due to problems with the ice at James Brown Arena.

The game on Thursday, February 28 against Huntsville has been moved to Thursday, March 14. Augusta's game on Saturday, March 2 against Knoxville has been moved to Tuesday, March 5. Both games will start at 7:35 p.m.

Due to the adjustment of the game schedule, the Knoxville Ice Bears have rescheduled the annual Skates and Skirts Main Event presented by Deane Conley from Tuesday, March 5 to Wednesday, March 6 - start time will remain the same at 6:30 at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum. Skates and Skirts is a ladies event that provides a behind the scenes look at the Knoxville Ice Bears organization and players.
