Los Angeles, CA- The Battle Creek Knights got back in the win column on Friday, defeating the Los Angeles Lightning in front of 861 fans at the Gilbert Sports Arena by the score of 88-77.
Five Knights finished in double-figures in scoring, led by 17 from Marcus Evans. Anthony Kyle had a solid debut for the Knights, with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Lamond Murray posted game highs in points (28) and rebounds (12) in the loss for Los Angeles.
Battle Creek weathered a furious comeback from the Lightning in the second half. Los Angeles whittled a 22 point Knights' lead to five before the Knights ultimately prevailed down the stretch.
