
Knights Offense Struggles in Loss

FORT MILL, S.C. - June 7, 2009 - The Knights couldn't get the bats going and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees did just enough to get the 5-0 win. The Knights are now 3-3 on the season vs. the Yankees.
Yankees starting pitcher Casey Fossum threw six shutout innings to earn his third win of the season. The soft tossing left hander had 5 strikeouts and allowed just 3 hits. He was relieved by Edwar Ramirez who picked up a 3-inning save.
The Knights hitters struggled at the plate getting just four hits in the game. Josh Kroeger did have a pair of doubles in the game giving him 15 on the season. In the three games the Knights have lost to the Yankees, they have not scored a run.
The Knights and Yankees will continue their series tomorrow at 7:15 PM. RHP Paul Bush (0-1, 4.26 ERA) is scheduled to start for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the Knights will counter with RHP Kelvin Jimenez (2-2, 5.23 ERA).
