
Knights Lose Game Two to Rochester 7-4 on Tuesday

(Fort Mill, SC) -After six-straight wins, including five-in-a-row at home, the Charlotte Knights met their match on Tuesday.
Michael Hollimon hit two home runs, Chris Parmelee went 2-3 with a home run of his own, and the Rochester Red Wings beat the Knights 7-4 in game two of their four-game series from Knights Stadium in Fort Mill, SC on Tuesday.
Charlotte right-hander Dylan Axelrod (4-2, 2.36) entered the game as the International League leader and allowed seven runs on eight hits over 4.2 innings pitched. He struck-out seven batters, but was saddled with his second loss of the season.
The Knights went to the fourth inning ahead of the Red Wings 3-1, but Rochester stormed back to scored four runs in the frame. The 'Wings (21-30) tacked on two more in the fifth inning and held onto the lead. Each team had nine hits in the contest.
Red Wings starter Nick Blackburn, who was on a Major League rehab assignment from the Minnesota Twins, allowed four runs over 3.2 innings pitched and did not factor in the decision.
Offensively for the Knights, Tyler Kuhn and Greg Golson each had two hits in the loss. Kuhn was 2-4 with an RBI and extended his hit streak to five games. Golson went 2-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI.
Charlotte's bullpen combined to toss 4.1 scoreless innings.
On Wednesday, the two teams will battle in game three of their four-game series. RHP Charlie Shirek will toe the rubber for the Knights, while RHP Liam Hendriks (3-0, 1.40) will get the ball for the 'Wings. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. and gates will open at 6:00 p.m.
