(DURHAM, NC) -- The Charlotte Knights dropped game two of their three game series to the Durham Bulls by a score of 17-3 from Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, NC on Saturday night. The Bulls scored two runs in the second, four in the third, and 11 runs in the fourth inning.

Charlotte RHP Reynaldo Lopez (5-4, 4.48) was charged with the loss after he allowed six runs (all earned) on four hits over three innings. RHP Jake Dunning gave up 10 of the 11 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and did not record an out. In all, he gave up 10 runs (nine earned) on five hits. He also walked four batters. The Knights used a total of seven pitchers on Saturday.

Outfielder Jason Bourgeois continued his quest to 400 career Knights hits. Bourgeois, who is third all-time in franchise history in hits, went 2-for-3 with a double, triple, and two RBIs. He's now just 13 hits away from becoming the third player in franchise history with 400 hits. Only Jordan Danks and Joe Borchard have accomplished that feat. His triple on Saturday moved him into a tie for second all-time in franchise history in that category. He's just one triple away from tying Danks for first all-time.

The 17 runs allowed by the Knights on Saturday were the most since April 19, 2016. On that day, the Knights allowed 20 and lost to the Norfolk Tides at BB&T Ballpark by a score of 20-4.

Saturday's game also had a one-hour and 19-minute delay, including a ballpark power outage. The game lasted three hours and 27 minutes from start to finish.

The Knights will conclude their three-game series on Sunday with a 5:05 p.m. game. RHP Tyler Danish (1-5, 3.84) will get the start for the Knights against Durham LHP Ryan Yarbrough (6-4, 4.36). Pre-game radio coverage of Sunday's game from Durham, NC will begin at 4:50 p.m. on ESPN Charlotte (730 AM) and CharlotteKnights.com. The "Voice of the Charlotte Knights" Matt Swierad will have the call for all of the action.
