Knights Assigned Four Players, Two from Open Tryout

MACON, Ga. – The Macon Knights announced today that the team has been assigned four players. The Knights picked up wide receiver/linebacker Brandon Pedraza, wide receiver/defensive back Pedy Tehrani, offensive/defensive lineman Jason Geter and defensive specialist Carlton Pouncy. Pedraza and Tehrani were discovered at the Knights' open tryout on February 14th.

Brandon Pedraza (6-3, 200, WR/LB, Youngstown State) enters his first season with the Knights, and arenafootball2, after participating in training camp with the Columbus Destroyers (AFL) earlier this year. During the 2000 season, Pedraza played 10 games with Youngstown State catching 15 passes for 329 yards and seven touchdowns.

Pedy Tehrani (5-8, 184, WR/DB, Chattanooga) enters his first season with the Knights and arenafootball2. In 12 games during the 2003 season with UTC, Tehrani caught 27 passes for 266 yards, returned 10 punts for 73 yards and returned 19 kickoffs for 498 yards and one touchdown. In 12 games during the 2002 season, he hauled in 13 passes for 168 yards and one touchdown and returned eight kickoffs for 201 yards.

Jason Geter (6-3, 315, OL/DL, Carson-Newman) enters his first season with the Knights and arenafootball2. In 13 games as a defensive lineman with the Eagles during the 2002 season, Geter recorded 25 tackles, six tackles for a loss, five sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Carlton Pouncy (6-0, 195, DS, Florida) enters his first season with the Macon Knights and arenafootball2. Pouncy attended the University of Florida after prepping at Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Fla.

The Macon Knights – 2003 American Conference Champions – will kick off the season with a rematch of the 2003 ArenaCup as they play host to the Tulsa Talons on April 10th at 7:30 pm.
