MANCHESTER, N.H. (March 1, 2004) - The Manchester Wolves, New England's newest professional football team, today announced they will hold their final open player tryout for the 2004 season next Saturday, March 13. The one-day event will take place outdoors at Manchester West High School's Memorial Field, located on Main Street in Manchester, N.H.

Registration will begin promptly at 12 p.m. on the day of the camp. The tryout will run from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

All position players, including kickers, are welcome to attend. The camp will be postponed in the event of significant snowfall.

To pre-register for the tryout, please contact Wolves Head Coach Rik Richards by calling the football office at (603) 627-9653, extension 143. Interested participants can also email the coaching staff at k24eaton@hotmail.com. Space for the camp is limited so it is highly recommended that athletes pre-register before Friday, March 12.

"We received a tremendous response from our first tryout camp and actually signed five players from the event," Richards said. "I hope we're as fortunate this time out because we still have as many as 10 roster spots to fill before training camp starts on March 18."

Athletes should be prepared to complete any drills that are performed at professional football combines or tryouts including but not limited to Short Shuttle, 40-Yard Dash, Broad Jump, One-on-One Drills and Position Drills. The tryout will be held on a synthetic turf surface, so individuals should bring appropriate clothing, shoes and a mouthpiece.

Don't miss the Wolves first season of hard-hitting action in New Hampshire. Season ticket packages for the Wolves are available for dream, lower bowl and upper bowl seats and start as low as $112.

The Wolves kick off their inaugural season in New Hampshire on Saturday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. against the Quad City Steamwheelers at the Verizon Wireless Arena. That night will truly be historic as the Manchester Wolves host the first arena football game ever played at the Verizon Wireless Arena.
