Knighthawks Try to Escape from New York with a Win

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester travels to the Big Apple Saturday in search of its second win of the season. The Knighthawks (1-2) battle the winless New York Saints (0-4) at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th.
Rochester dropped its second straight home game last Saturday to again fall below .500 and remain mired in the basement of the Central Division. The K-Hawks only win was 18-11 at Vancouver on January 18th. Rochester has lost both games at The Blue Cross Arena after winning 15 straight on home turf over the previous two seasons.
The Knighthawks are led by three-time all-star John Grant. Grant (6+11) has 17 points and is tied for sixth in the NLL with 11 assists in four games. Chris Schiller (4+4) and Jeremy Hollenbeck (4+1) are also having strong seasons offensively. Hollenbeck is coming off his first career hat trick on January 18th against the Vancouver Ravens. Schiller has career highs in goals, assists and points this season. Last season, he played in only one game because of injuries.
New York will try to win for the first time this season, as they return home for the third time this season. Former Knighthawk Chris Driscoll leads the Saints with 18 points (9+9) in four games. Another former âHawk, Rusty Kruger, is second on the Saints with 14 points (9+5). Former NLL Rookie of the Year Gavin Prout has registered 11 points (5+6) in four games.
The game from Nassau Coliseum will be carried on News Talk 950 WROC. Rochester returns to The Blue Cross Arena on Saturday, February 1st to battle the Albany Attack at 7:35 p.m. Prior to the game, fans can enjoy the Bud Light Pregame Party at Nathaniel's Pub, which is located at 251 Exchange Blvd. The party begins at 5:30 p.m. For more information, fans can call (585) 454-5335 or check the web at knighthawks.com.
