Knighthawks sign Luke Forget and Greg Gurenlian

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Knighthawks General Manager Jody Gage announced today that the team has signed defenseman Luke Forget and faceoff specialist Greg Gurenlian.
The Knighthawks inked Forget to a two-year deal. Rochester acquired Forget from the Portland LumberJax on September 13th in exchange for the 20th overall pick in the 2006 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft. Last season, the Vershayle, Ontario, native appeared in 14 games and notched three goals, six assists and 81 loose balls. He broke into the NLL in 2005 with the Toronto Rock.
Rochester signed Gurenlian to a one-year deal. The Philadelphia native was selected in the fourth-round selection (48th overall) of the 2006 NLL Draft. He spent last summer playing for the Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse after completing a successful college career at Penn State University. With the Rattlers, he recorded four goals, five assists, 24 ground balls and 113 faceoff wins.
The Knighthawks will open their 13th season of professional lacrosse on Saturday, December 30th against the defending National Lacrosse League champion Colorado Mammoth. Gametime is set for 9:00 p.m. at the Pepsi Center. Rochester plays its home opener on Saturday, January 13th against the Toronto Rock at 7:35 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial.
