Knighthawks Sign Kyle Dawson to Multi-Year Deal

(Rochester, NY) - Rochester Knighthawks General Manager and Vice President of Lacrosse Operations Dan Carey announced today that the team has signed forward Kyle Dawson to a two-year contract, pending league approval.

Dawson, 22, has yet to make his National Lacrosse League debut after being drafted by the San Diego Seals in the third round (41st overall) of the 2019 NLL Entry Draft.

Dawson completed his Junior career during the 2019 season with the Nanaimo Timbermen, where he was named the British Columbia Junior A Lacrosse League's most sportsmanlike player while scoring 25 goals and 47 points in 25 games. The Florence, Ontario, native also played six seasons (2013-18) of Junior B lacrosse with the Wallaceburg Red Devils, totaling 267 points (143+124) over 92 career games and adding 41 points (22+19) in 17 playoff appearances.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound forward was also a first-round selection (fifth overall) of the Paris Riverwolves in the 2019 Arena Lacrosse League Entry Draft.

Internationally, Dawson, who played collegiately at Western Ontario University, helped Team Canada win gold at the 2018 International Indoor Junior Lacrosse World Championship, where he scored six goals and added five assists for 11 points while serving as an alternate captain.
