
Knighthawks Look To Get Rollin' Against Rock

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Knighthawks face the first-place Toronto Rock tonight at 8:05 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. After the contest, the Knighthawks will hold an autograph session on the floor. Fans can also meet the players at the official postgame party at Legends Sports Bar & Grille in the Radisson Hotel on Main Street. The game will be broadcast live on The Zone 94.1 FM and thezone941.com.
An Imperial Showdown: The two East Division rivals faceoff on Star Wars Night. Fans can meet their favorite Star Wars characters, purchase lightsabers and get autographs. All the proceeds raised will go to the American Red Cross' mission in Haiti.
Head-to-Head: The Knighthawks suffered a 17-3 loss to the Rock in their last meeting on January 23rd. The three goals was an all-time low for the Knighthawks. Rochester is 14-0 all-time against Toronto at The Blue Cross Arena in regular season meetings. The Rock's lone win in Rochester was in the 2003 championship game.
Last Night: Rochester (2-2) enters the game in third place in the East Division after dropping their second straight game, 13-8 last night in Orlando. The Knighthawks got four goals from Craig Point and two goals and three assists from John Grant Jr. Grant leads the Knighthawks with 22 points (8+14). Shawn Williams recorded one goal and two assists to reach 400 assists as a Knighthawk. Rochester had three players make their 2010 debuts on Friday. Nine-year pro Marshall Abrams made his return to the team after retiring last season. Andrew Potter also saw his first action since being reacquired from Colorado in the offseason. Peter Jacobs made his season and Knighthawks debut and earned one assist.
Lineup shuffle: Forwards Gary Gait and Scott Evans will return to the lineup after sitting out last night. Mac Allen, who missed the Orlando game due to a school commitment, will play tonight against the Rock. Missing will be transition man Chris Schiller. The Penfield native stayed in Orlando to play for Team USA, as they take on Army today and then play Duke University on Sunday. The US National Field Lacrosse Team is competing at the Champion Challenge at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex to prepare for the 2010 World Championships in July.
Rock Notes: Toronto is off to its best start since the 2000 season at 3-0. Colin Doyle has led the Rock resurgence, as he is tied for third in the NLL with 23 points and leads the league with 20 assists. Goalie Bob Watson leads the NLL with a paltry 5.47 goals-against average and an.867 save percentage. He was named the NLL Overall and Defensive Player of the Week in a 45-save effort versus Rochester last week. The Rock are also getting contributions from their rookies. Garrett Billings leads all rookies with 19 points in three games (11+8) and Stephan Leblanc is tied for second with 18 (5+13). Billings was named the NLL Rookie of the Week after registering five goals and three assists in the win over Rochester on January 23rd. Toronto enters the game with the third best power-play unit in the league, converting 11 of 21 chances (52.4). The Rock also have the second best penalty-killing unit, limiting opponents to three goals on 14 chances (78.6).

Fans can bid on the bears made by the players at a silent auction at The Blue Cross Arena. Build-A-Bear Workshop will also donate a bear signed by the entire team to help with the charitable event.
