Rochester Knighthawks News Release
The Rochester Knighthawks will battle the New England Black Wolves tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Connors & Ferris Field at The Blue Cross Arena. The game is the first of three meetings between the two East Division rivals in the next two weeks. The Knighthawks will celebrate Irish Night this evening and are selling special limited-edition Irish T-shirts while supplies last.
The Knighthawks (4-5) enter the game in a tie for third place in the East Division. They are hosting a New England (5-3) team that is just a half game out of first place in the division. This season, Rochester plays the Black Wolves four times, which is the most of any opponent.
Keogh in his Element: For Stephen Keogh and his family, tonight will be a celebration of their Irish roots. In September, the Knighthawks forward played for Ireland at the 2015 FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championship. Stephen, whose father, Sean, was born in Dublin, Ireland, led the country to a sixth-place finish. He finished the tournament as a member of the President's Team, which was awarded to the most outstanding players in all divisions except the blue (top) division. Keogh powered Ireland with 19 goals, 21 assists and 40 points.
Back in Our Barn: For the first time since Feb. 13th, the Knighthawks are back at The Blue Cross Arena. Rochester has won two of its last three games on home turf, including knocking off the Vancouver Stealth 16-15 in overtime the last time they played at home.

Jammer closing in on 300: Cody Jamieson needs just two assists to join John Grant Jr. and Shawn Williams as the only other players to reach 300 assists as a Knighthawk.
Last Night's Top Performers: Rochester kicked off its two-game weekend with a showdown in Buffalo. Rochester was led by five-point efforts from Cody Jamieson (2+3) and Stephen Keogh (3+2). The hat trick was Keogh's first of the season. Cory Vitarelli (3+1) and Dan Dawson (2+2) also chipped in four-point nights. Dylan Evans was stellar at the X, winning 15 of 25 draws.
We Love Bonus Lacrosse: Rochester improved to 2-0 in overtime games, following an impressive 9-8 overtime victory over the Calgary Roughnecks last Saturday night. Dan Dawson scored the OT winner just 1:16 into the extra session to finish with six points (2+4). Cody Jamieson led the way with four goals and three assists, while Stephen Keogh scored a pair of goals. Matt Vinc made 46 saves to earn his 50th win as a Knighthawk, while Joe Walters and Cory Vitarelli each notched their 200th career points.
