Knighthawks Camo Jersey Auction Kicks off Saturday
March 1, 2013 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Rochester Knighthawks News Release
For the second time this season, the Rochester Knighthawks will don special jerseys. On Saturday, March 16th, the Knighthawks will wear camouflaged jerseys as part of their fundraiser for the Seneca Waterways Council Boy Scouts of America.
As part of the evening, the Knighthawks will be wearing and auctioning off these commemorative jerseys. That night, the Knighthawks will host their Scout Sleepover on The Blue Cross Arena turf after the game.
"We're thrilled to be teaming up with the Knighthawks for the benefit of the thousands of youth in Scouting who get to enjoy great outdoor activities like camping," said Stephen Hoitt, Seneca Waterways Council-BSA CEO.
"We are excited to expand our relationship with the Boy Scouts, who have been longtime supporters of the Knighthawks," said Knighthawks President Lewis Staats. "The camo jerseys are certainly going to be a big hit with the fans, who are some of the most generous in the league when it comes to supporting charitable events."
The Jersey Auction, presented by GoBuyRochester.com, will begin online on Saturday, March 2nd at 9:00 p.m. and conclude at the Knighthawks' next home game on Saturday, March 16th.
The night of the auction, Rochester will host the Edmonton Rush in a rematch of the 2012 National Lacrosse League Championship Game. Faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena.
