Erie, Pennsylvania, Thursday, March 8 - The New York Knicks have recalled center Jerome Jordan following his assignment to the Erie BayHawks. The BayHawks big man played in three games with the team following his assignment on March 3.
Jordan completed his second assignment to the NBA Development League with a total of five games played. He was originally assigned to the BayHawks on January 19 and played in two games for Erie, both on the road. During his second assignment, Jordan played in three games for the BayHawks. Erie posted a record of four wins and one loss during Jordan's assignments.
For the season, the Jamaican native is averaging 18.0 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per contest with Erie. He will re-join a Knicks squad that has lost three games in a row and was without starting center Tyson Chandler for Wednesday's game due to a strained hamstring. The BayHawks will look to extend their season long winning streak to five games tonight as they face the Eastern Conference leading Iowa Energy at the Tullio Arena. Erie's homestand ends tomorrow as they battle the Reno Bighorns on Salute Our Troops Night, presented by LECOM. The BayHawks will wear special camouflage uniforms which will be auctioned off following the game. Proceeds of the auction will benefit care packages for the troops.
