Erie BayHawks News Release
Erie, Pennsylvania, Thursday, March 8 - The Erie BayHawks and the Iowa Energy took the floor for roughly nine minutes before a stoppage in play. The court was ruled unplayable and arena maintenance crews attempted to find a solution.
After a ninety minute delay, the game was officially postponed as it was decided that the court was still not in a playable condition. The two teams are working with the league to determine a possible date to make up today's game.
All ticket holders at this evening's game can use their tickets for any other game during the rest of the regular season. Erie will take the floor again tomorrow night at 7:00 PM against the Reno Bighorns for Salute Our Troops Night, presented by LECOM. The BayHawks will wear special camouflage uniforms which will be auctioned off following the game. Proceeds from the auction will benefit care packages for the troops. Iowa will travel to Springfield tomorrow to take on the Armor.
