TARRYTOWN, NY - MJ Walker of the Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, signed a 10-Day Contract via the NBA's Hardship Exception by the Phoenix Suns as announced by the team today. Walker becomes the fourth Knick to receive an NBA Call-Up this season and 18th for the franchise.

Walker (affiliate), 6'5 217, has appeared in 13 games in his rookie season with Westchester, averaging 10.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals, while shooting 41.1-percent from three-point territory. Walker scored a career-high 23 points against the Delaware Blue Coats (12/17), knocking down a career-high five three-pointers. The 23-year-old went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft, spending NBA Summer League and training camp with the New York Knicks before joining Westchester.

The Jonesboro, Georgia native played four years of college basketball at Florida State, averaging 12.2 points on 44.7-percent three-point shooting to earn Second Team All-ACC honors his senior season in 2020-21. A five-star recruit and McDonald's All-American out of high school, he won gold representing USA Basketball at the 2016 FIBA Americas U18 Championship in Chile.

The NBA G League announced last week that its regular season, originally scheduled to tip off on Dec. 27, will begin on Jan. 5, 2022. The delay will give teams an opportunity to safely return players to market after the Christmas holiday and to replenish their rosters following NBA Call-Ups.

Information regarding games originally scheduled between Dec. 27 and Jan. 4 will be provided at a later date.
