
Knicks Get Back to Winning Ways; Rout Skyhawks 123-102

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, established season superlatives en route to a 123-102 victory over the College Park Skyhawks, Thursday night at Webster Bank Arena.
Westchester (3-6) led from start to finish and by the first quarter's conclusion, charged a 13-point deficit to College Park (0-7). The Skyhawks' 11 first quarter points were the fewest scored in a 12-minute window by a Knicks opponent this season.
Westchester continued to dominate through the second quarter scoring 39 points in the period doubling as a season superlative. Their 25-point lead at the intermission was also their biggest season lead.
In the third quarter, the Knicks continued to maintain their lead, going up by 31 points, their largest all game, with 7:22 remaining in the frame. The Skyhawks sliced ten points off their deficit and got within 12 after three quarters, 90-69. With 4:08 to go in the game, College Park cut the hosts' advantage to just 11, 110-99. Westchester responded with a 13-3 run to ultimately settle the score and sever its two-game skid.
Coming over from the New York Knicks, Miles McBride (assignment) led Westchester with 31 points on 60-percent, hitting five out of eight three-point attempts to compliment a team-high nine assists. Luka Samanic (Two-Way) earned his third double-double and fifth consecutive 20-point game registering 25 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists while shooting 50-percent from three-point range. Aamir Simms (affiliate) chipped in with a career-high 23 points, making five out of nine tries from distance and collecting 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Brandon Goodwin (affiliate) contributed his best game of the season with 20 points on 66.7-percent and 60-percent from three-point territory. The guard also contributed four assists, five rebounds, and two steals against his former team.
College Park was led by a balanced scoring attack, with five players scoring in double figures. Jalen Johnson and Sharife Cooper each scored 19 points apiece, with Justin Tillman contributing 12. Malik Ellison and Cat Barber each put up 10 points as well.
As a team, Westchester shot a season high 50.5-percent from the field (46-for-91) and 41.9-percent (18-for-43) from three.
The Knicks and Skyhawks will do it again tomorrow night, December 3 at 7 PM ET at Webster Bank Arena.
