Gold Defeat Herd 111-107 in Heated Back and Forth Battle

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Grand Rapids Gold, the NBA affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, defeated the Wisconsin Herd in an intense back and forth battle that resulted in 12 lead changes and five ties. Although the stat line was balanced, the Gold's tenacity on the boards kept the team afloat, totaling 56 compared to 47 for the Herd. The Herd also topped the Gold in turnovers with a total of 24, giving the home team 28 points.

Nik Stauskas was a bright spot for the Gold yet again, leading the team with 23 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Lance Stephenson contributed another 18 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Trevon Duval followed up with 16 points, three rebounds, and five assists. Manny Camper put up an impressive double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Devonte Patterson's debut with the Gold resulted in 13 points and five rebounds.

Lindell Wiggington led the away team with 28 points and 8 rebounds. Tremont Waters tallied up 22 points and 5 assists. Rayjon Tucker added another 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Wenyen Gabriel added another 12 points and nine rebounds.

The Gold will enjoy a brief break before they return to action on Tuesday, December 14, at The DeltaPlex Arena in Grand Rapids, MI, to face off with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. EST.
