Knicks Fall to Wolves

REUNION, FL - February 28, 2021 - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, fell 111-105 to the Iowa Wolves Sunday evening at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort.

New York Knicks Assignment player, Ignas Brazdeikis, led Westchester (6-6) with 21 points and 11 rebounds. He also collected three assists and shot 61.5-percent. Affiliate player, Myles Powell, chipped in 20 points off the bench and drained four three-pointers. Affiliate player, Louis King, scored 19 points on 50-percent.

For Iowa (2-10), Lindell Wigginton totaled 23 points and seven assists. Isaiah Briscoe finished with 20 points and four assists. Charlie Brown Jr. added 19 points and nine rebounds.

The Knicks credited a 22-point lead at the intermission, 62-40. The Knicks gripped a 20-point lead at the eight-minute mark of the third quarter, but the tempo shifted, and Iowa was down just 13 heading into the forth. The Wolves' persistence continued to surge and near the midway mark of the fourth, it was just a two-possession game. Wigginton scored a go-ahead lay in at 4:07 but a free-throw valued at three points for Canyon Barry less than 30 seconds later proved to be the winner and the Wolves would go on to win by six.
