
KiXX Host Fourth Annual Sports Memorabilia Auction on March 18

Philadelphia, PA, March 13, 2006 - The Philadelphia KiXX announced today that the club will hold their Fourth Annual Sports Memorabilia Auction, benefiting Children's Miracle Network at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on Saturday, March 18 when the KiXX host former player/coach Omid Namazi and the first-placed St. Louis Steamers. Game-time at the Wachovia Spectrum is scheduled for 7:05 pm ET with the doors opening at 6:00 pm ET.
A silent auction of memorabilia from the area sports teams and establishments will be held throughout the contest's first half with the winners claiming their prizes in the third quarter. Some of the items available in the silent auction include a pair of 2006-07 KiXX season tickets, a 12-person suite for a to-be-determined 2006-07 home game, a full dance-team autographed calendar, an autographed Shawn Boney bobblehead and various items from the Philadelphia Eagles, 76ers, Phillies, Phantoms, Soul and Wings. A live auction featuring game-worn autographed jerseys from each of the KiXX members will immediately follow the conclusion of the action. Veteran auctioneer Ed Barkowitz and Dave Pace of Pace Auction Group have voluntarily offered their services.
Funds raised through Children's Miracle Network are earmarked at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for patient care programs. These programs provide constant support for the kinds of services that truly make a difference in the lives of children and families. Support groups, creative arts therapies and social workers are all part of the healing process. These services are offered to every child who visits Children's Hospital, and these are among the many programs that CMN funds help make possible.
The Children's Miracle Network in Philadelphia is part of The Children's Hospital Foundation, the charitable, tax-exempt organization benefiting The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The Philadelphia KiXX are a member of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL), a single-entity organization that features a coast-to-coast presence across the United States.
