KiXX and EwingCole Present Shawn Boney Bobblehead Night

Philadelphia, PA, January 18, 2006 - The Philadelphia KiXX announced today that the club has partnered with the nationally acclaimed architecture, engineering, interior design, and planning firm EwingCole to present Shawn Boney as the bobblehead giveaway for the current 2005-06 season. The doll will be distributed to the first 2,500 fans, 14 and under, and all season ticket holders on Saturday, January 21, as the team entertains the defending Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Champion Milwaukee Wave. Game-time at the Wachovia Spectrum is slated for 7:05 pm ET with the doors opening at 6:00 pm ET.
A native of Tacarigua, Trinidad, the 6'7" and 280-pound forward is in his ninth season of professional indoor soccer and his sixth in a Philadelphia uniform. Boney debuted indoors with the Cleveland Crunch of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) in 1997 and earned a selection to the All-Rookie team after recording 34 points in 31 appearances. After three seasons in Cleveland, including a League championship in 1998-99, Boney was acquired by the Detroit Rockers in the 2000 NPSL Expansion Draft but was later dealt midway through the 2000-01 campaign to the KiXX.
To date this season, the Southern Connecticut State University product has registered six points on four goals, including two penalty-kick scores, and a pair of assists in eight games. Boney has tabulated nearly 300 points in over 200 games played and participated in two League Championships (1998-99 in Cleveland, 2001-02 in Philadelphia) throughout his illustrious career.
KiXX player/coach Don D'Ambra was honored with the distinct pleasure of representing last year's squad as the bobblehead giveaway on January 22, 2005. The team's previous honorees includes mascot SocceRoo, player/assistant coach Kevin Sloan and all-star goalkeeper Peter Pappas.

Following tonight's contest, the KiXX square-off versus the defending Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Champion Milwaukee Wave in a home-and-home series that commences at the U.S. Cellular Arena on Friday, January 20. Kick-off is scheduled for 8:05 pm ET. The clubs then return to the City of Brotherly Love to conclude the series on Saturday, January 21. Game-time at the Wachovia Spectrum is slated for 7:05 pm ET with doors opening at 6:00 pm ET.
