Kitchener Rangers News Release
The Kitchener Rangers announced today that free agent defenceman Kyle Gentles has committed to an Ontario Hockey League standard player agreement with the club.
The 6'0, 170lb Ajax, Ontario native played the 2015-16 season as a member of the Pickering Jr. A Panthers (OJHL), registering seven goals and nine assists for 16 points in 53 regular season games on the blueline, while also racking up 80 minutes in penalties.
Rangers general manager Murray Hiebert says the addition of Gentles only adds more depth to a promising Rangers blueline.
"We were quite impressed with what we saw in Kyle's game during training camp," said Hiebert. "As an 18-year-old Kyle shows poise and maturity in his game, and we're happy to welcome him to our team."
