Kings Win Again

Kalamazoo Kings News Release


The Kalamazoo Kings won their sixth in a row by beating the Chillicothe Paints 6-4 at Homer Stryker Field before a crowd of 1,713. Lee Naplin was the starting pitcher and earned his second victory of the year going 5 1/3 innings allowing five hits while striking out two. Jake Brooks closed out the game earning his second save of the season in as many oppurtunities. Justin McClain led the offensive attack going 4-4 with an RBI. Pete Pirman also had three hits with a solo homerun while Joe Shallenberger also homered for the third straight day. The Kings take on the Paints again tommorrow with the first pitch starting at 6:35 pm with fireworks after the game. The Kings improved their record to 10-4 and are now in sole possession of first place.
