Springfield, Ohio (Sept. 10, 2014) - The Champion City Kings, Prospect League collegiate baseball team, is continuing their mission to support both the community and local non-profits during the off-season this fall.

Champion City Kings is partnering with Cincinnati-based Production Company, Rebel Pilgrim sponsoring Rebel Storyteller's, Gospel of John, on October 11, 2014, 3 p.m. & 7 p.m., at Clark State Performing Art Center, Turner Studio Theater.

Written over 1,900 years ago, The Gospel of John chronicles the life of a peasant Jewish rabbi from an insignifi - cant Galilean town who became the world's most controversial household name - Jesus. This man's story has been told and retold more than any story in history. But never quite like this. Joe Boyd explores the mysteries of this ancient tale in a one-man show that utilizes his unique balance of laugh-out-loud comedy, sincere drama, and historical insights crafted over decades of stage experience. Joe Boyd, a Christian pastor turned movie producer and professional actor is the founder and president of Rebel Pilgrim Productions. His latest movie (lead actor, producer) A STRANGE BRAND OF HAPPY is now available on DVD nationwide.

Both organizations are proud to support Safe Harbor House with 10% of all ticket proceeds benefiting this local non-profit dedicated to creating an environment that empowers at-risk women toward healing and wholeness and equips them for productive and quality living.
