
Kings Announce 2012-13 Regular Season Schedule

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the 2012 Stanley Cup Champions and parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, will open the 2012-13 NHL season and raise their first Stanley Cup championship banner in franchise history in front of a national audience on NBC Sports Network against the New York Rangers at STAPLES Center on Friday, October 12, the Kings and the NHL announced today. The Kings are scheduled to travel to New England to face-off against the Boston Bruins at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on December 17, 2012.
The Kings play eight games in October, including five games at STAPLES Center: October 12 vs. New York Rangers, October 18 vs. Carolina, October 21 vs. Edmonton, October 23 vs. Nashville and October 27 vs. Phoenix.
The Kings will tie a season high with 15 games in November, highlighted by home games with St. Louis (November 3), Vancouver (November 8), Chicago (November 21) and San Jose (November 23).
In December, the Kings will play 14 games, featuring home games against Pacific Division rivals Dallas (December 10), San Jose (December 22), Phoenix (December 26) and Anaheim (December 29). The Kings will also embark on a five-game road trip in December that will see them play in Montreal (December 13), Ottawa (December 15), Boston (December 17), Detroit (December. 18) and San Jose (December 20).
The month of January features seven of the club's 11 games at STAPLES Center, including a season-high six-game homestand January 3-14: Philadelphia (January 3), St. Louis (January 5), Anaheim (January 8), Minnesota (January 10), Detroit (January 12) and Phoenix (January 14). The NHL All-Star break will take place January 24-28 with the All-Star Game taking place in Columbus.
February features 12 games, nine of which will be on the road. The Kings will embark on a five-game road trip at the beginning of the month, highlighted by a Stanley Cup Final rematch against New Jersey on February 9. The trip also includes stops in Washington (February 3), Buffalo (February 5), New York Rangers (February 7) and Pittsburgh (February 10).
The Kings will tie a season high with 15 games in March. Eight of the first 11 games in the month will take place at home. Home games are highlighted with visits by Toronto (March 4), San Jose (March 16), Chicago (March 21) and Vancouver (March 23). The Kings conclude March and start April on a five-game road trip.
April will see the Kings play seven games, four at home and three on the road. The regular season concludes with Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday, April 13 vs. Anaheim.
