RICHMOND, VA - (Wednesday, April 2, 2014) - The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce a new partnership with Tourbeau Sports Group. The video streaming production and sports development company, known especially for their work in the soccer industry, will stream all Richmond Kickers matches at City Stadium in HD quality in 2014, via the team's YouTube Channel. "With full HD capability, increased bandwidth and top-of-the-line equipment, we are thrilled to partner with Tourbeau Sports Group to raise the standard of our broadcasts from City Stadium," commented Shelley Sowers, Richmond Kickers General Manager. "We are looking forward to working with the leading experts in soccer-specific production to provide the most professional product possible for USL PRO fans worldwide."
Tourbeau Sports Group has produced live broadcasts of U.S. Soccer, North American Soccer League, National Premier League (NPSL), United Soccer Leagues matches and now multiple exclusive partnerships with clubs throughout the USL's soccer pyramid and other professional soccer organizations such as the Boston Breakers of the NWSL. They also provide content amongst several other top-level youth, club and collegiate leagues, conferences and national championships throughout the United States.
"First and foremost, I want to thank the entire staff at the Richmond Kickers organization for their support to invest their resources and give TSG the opportunity to provide quality HD productions this season in Richmond," said Chase Neidig, Tourbeau Sports Group President. "The Kickers, along with their affiliation with D.C. United, provide our brand with legitimacy and an additional level of awareness in the soccer market and Tourbeau Sports is honored to assist the club, the players and technical staff, and most importantly the fans with a quality video streaming experience for the 2014 season."
"As a soccer-specific production company, we see this partnership with the Kickers as the next step in our desire to provide professional video streaming services to soccer organizations at the professional level for a fraction of the price of most production houses," added Neidig. "We know now with adding a second USL PRO club to our name, we will only continue to provide the league and all interested franchises with an alternative option that exists only with Tourbeau Sports Group, whose passion for the game of soccer is one our core values".
The Kickers' broadcast will once again feature commentators Mike Neville, Mark Bushman and former Kickers professional player, Ryan Heins, who bring a combined 85 years of soccer and broadcasting experience to City Stadium. Some of the features YouTube Live will present to fans during live games include DVR, chat, full HD support, and social media interactivity.
