Kickers Host Fourth of July Fest

RICHMOND, VA - (Wednesday, June 22, 2011) - Kick off your Independence Day celebrations at the Richmond Kickers Third Annual Fourth of July Fest, presented by Northwestern Mutual. Festivities begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 4 at Richmond City Stadium and will feature a Splash Zone, inflatables, delicious food, music, games and fun. The Kickers professional soccer game will highlight the event as the Kickers host the Dayton Dutch Lions at 1:00 p.m. Admission is just $4.00 per ticket before 12:00 p.m. and parking is free.

Beat the heat in the Kickers one-of-a-kind Splash Zone, featuring a 40-foot long slip 'n slide, dunk tank, water balloons and more. In addition, fans young in age and young at heart can enjoy soccer competitions on the field, games, Most Patriotic Fan Contest, moonbounces, face-painting, contests and the longest inflatable obstacle course in Central Virginia, presented by Bounce 2 the Moon. Plus, delicious and affordable concessions will be available throughout the day, courtesy of Papa John's. The event will conclude with the Kickers pro soccer match featuring the Dayton Dutch Lions at 1:00 p.m.

In addition, Cobb Technologies, the leading document imaging solutions dealers in Virginia, is sponsoring a blood drive with Virginia Blood Services at the Richmond Kickers Fourth of July Fest. Summer is truly the toughest time of year for the blood banking industry, with one in seven people entering the hospital this summer needing blood. All donors will receive a free ticket to a future Kickers game, a T-shirt and will be entered into a weekly drawing to win prizes.
