"The Richmond Kickers welcome the support of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield for the fourth consecutive year," comments Richmond Kickers Vice President, Sales & Marketing Kevin Goolsby. "When community leaders work in concert, we increase awareness and knowledge, which is half the battle. We invite the public to join us for Anthem Night as we battle our toughest opponent - cancer."

Established in honor of Jamie Hess, a ten-year old soccer fan who lost his battle with leukemia in 2002, the Jamie Hess Cancer Research Fund was established to help seed new research projects in the area of Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation. First Annual Anthem Quest for the Cure

In addition, Anthem and the Kickers have partnered with Connor's Heroes Foundation to present the First Annual Anthem Quest for the Cure, to be followed by Anthem Night at the Kickers game on June 30th.

Over 100 teams equipped by Ravenchase with treasure maps, clues and cool Goonie-esque gadgets will race through Carytown to be the first to solve the secrets of the Anthem Quest for the Cure. Racing against other teams and the clock, "Corporate", "Adult" and "Family" teams will solve riddles, encounter planted actors, and use gadgets and guts to outwit their adversaries to win fabulously tacky prizes.

The Quest will begin and end at the University of Richmond Stadium where the Richmond Kickers will host the Harrisburg City Islanders at Anthem Night. In addition to the game, there will be a Kid Zone, music, a Memory/Honor Wall, a half-time Juggle-A-Thon, a raffle and other activities.

Teams can register at the Ravenchase website at www.RavenChase.com.

The Quest for the Cure will benefit numerous nonprofit organizations assisting children with cancer and their families. When teams register for the event, they will be able to choose the nonprofit that will receive the proceeds from their registration.
