HAMPSTEAD, NH - (Monday, June 2, 2007) - The New Hampshire Phantoms are pleased to announce its tryout schedule for the Fall 2007 - Spring 2008 season for its youth teams. The Phantoms are the longest active professional franchise in the Granite State with its men's team competing in the United Soccer League Division 2. Each player who attends tryouts will receive a complimentary ticket to a future Phantoms USL2 home game.
Monday, June 11
Boys U10, U11, U12: 5:30 - 6:45 PM, Manchester Memorial High School
Boys U13 and U14: 6:45 - 8 PM, Manchester Memorial High School
Tuesday, June 12
Girls U10, U11, U12: 6-7:15 PM, Manchester Memorial High School
Girls U13 and U14: 7:15 - 8:30 PM, Manchester Memorial High School
Wednesday, June 13
Boys U10, U11, U12: 6 - 7 PM, Southern New Hampshire University
Boys U13 and U14: 7 - 8 PM, Southern New Hampshire University
Thursday, June 14
Girls U10, U11, U12: 6-7:15 PM, Manchester Memorial High School
Girls U13 and U14: 7:15 - 8:30 PM, Manchester Memorial High School
Respective age groups include U10 (born after 8/1/1997); U11 (born between 8/1/1996 and 7/31/1997); U12 (born between 8/1/1995 and 7/31/1996); U13 (born between 8/1/1994 and 7/31/1995); and U14 (born between 8/1/1993 and 7/31/1994).
All players should bring a soccer ball, water/sports drink, a copy of birth certificate, a 1" x 1" photo, and wear soccer shirt, soccer shorts, and shinguards.
The Premier level teams are recognized as Phantoms FC Stars and the Club teams are known as Phantoms FC United.
The Phantoms FC Stars are committed to developing premier level players and teams for top level regional play. Teams will attend high level tournaments, and will participate in NHSA State Cup and the Super Y League.
Phantoms FC United will offer developmental and club level teams, will attend local tournaments, and will play in local leagues as well as NHSA Open Cup.
The Phantoms are members of United States Youth Soccer Association and U.S. Club Soccer. For more information and to pre-register for tryouts, go to www.nhphantoms.com. Tryouts are rain or shine and the tryout fee is $10. Attendance is encouraged at both tryout days for each age group.
